Rusty Axe Games, a developer and publisher of downloadable game software is very pleased to announce that they have signed a deal with Stephen Offenheim Editor in Chief of the popular humorous superhero comic Awesome Storm Justice 41, to create an exciting strategy game based on the characters and humor of ASJ41. As evil geniuses go... there are none more evil than Dennis Dennis III. Never satisfied with his current Quotients of Evil, Dennis has mounted a new offensive in his never-ending quest to control of Summerside City and then the world. Luckily for both Summerside City, and the world, ASJ41 stands firm, tirelessly deflecting Dennis' nefarious exploits.
Awesome Storm Justice 41, "Dark Days in Summerside City", is a classic tower defense style game with a unique twist in that the heroes are being used to defend The Awesomequarters. As the game progresses RPG elements enable the player to choose how and when to dispatch the ASJ41 heroes in response to emerging crises throughout Summerside City. The crisis response will temporarily remove certain heroes from the Awesomequarters defense, but will ultimately earn hero points, which allow the heroes to evolve and become more powerful "Dennis Dennis III is my all time favorite comic villain," said Rusty Axe representative Lennard Feddersen and I'm super pleased to be getting a chance to make a game with these guys.
"This is the next logical step in our plan to evolve Awesome Storm Justice 41 into a cultural phenomenon", said Stephen Offenheim.
ASJ 41, "Dark Days in Summerside City" will be released for consumer PC's in the Fall of 2008.
