Main Game Screen

The easiest way to learn the basics of the in-game user interface is to run the tutorial from the main menu that is shown when the game starts.

Once you have mastered the basics in the tutorial there are still a few minor things that you should know. Clicking on the Real Estate Empire 2 logo, or pressing the ESC key, will bring up the in game options menu.

Clicking on the Goals button - which shows you how many goals you have accomplished and what the total goals for that level are - will bring up the goal description that you were shown at the beginning of the level. You can also click on the Goals button from in the in game options menu.

Clicking on a house you don't own will show you that the bank owns the house and how much the house is valued at. You can select Make Offer at this point if the house is for sale to make an offer on the house.

Buying houses will automatically put them up for rent. Potential renters will present you with applications which you can accept or decline. Rented houses will show accumulating damage meters which will lead to periodic repairs. If you decide to skip repairs then a repair meter will show up instead which can be clicked on if you decide that you want to make repairs after all - always a good idea before repairs become permanent damage to your investment!

Selecting houses that you own will show you the Upgrade and Change Rent buttons in the bottom right corner of your screen. Upgrading and renovating is covered further in the renovations section, but basically upgrading will improve both your rents for the house as well as the potential sale value of the house. Changing rent will skew the rent higher or lower than what the average rent would be for a house of that value in that condition.
